Long John's Resort is located on the beautiful, southern shores of Lac Sault Dore,
commonly known as Soo Lake. Its lake view and spacious grounds make
this resort a great place to enjoy the Wisconsin northwoods.
Soo Lake is approximately 600 acres, maximum depth of 21 feet with an
average depth of 7 feet. Musky, Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth
Bass, Crappie, Perch, Northern Pike, and Bluegill offer you any type of
fishing you desire.
Summer is always fun and relaxing at Long John's Resort. There's
plenty of room for you to sprawl out on the beach area and watch your kids
swim, boat, water ski, or play volleyball. The lodge offers an
outside deck for viewing the beach and lake or come inside and enjoy the
great view and the camaraderie with friends and your favorite cocktail.
Boats and motors are available for an extra charge. There is a boat
launch for those who wish to bring their own.
There is a grill and fire ring
along with a picnic table with every cabin. Firewood is usually
available at the resort.
When the hustle and bustle of summer is over, enjoy the warm days and the
cool, crisp nights at Long John's. Fishing and hunting is at its
best. The colors are spectacular and it's a great time of year to
sit by the fireplace, have your favorite beverage and watch the Green Bay
Packers on TV.
Price County prides itself with having the
best snowmobiling trails in the state of Wisconsin, with more than 500
miles of state-funded and club trails. Two major snowmobile routes,
Trails 82 & 88, pass right through the resort. Groomers keep the trail system in
immaculate condition. We offer maps, oil, and gas for your
convenience. Cross-Country ski trails are just minutes from
the door.
The lodge includes a bar and restaurant, and it is also available for parties
and weddings. Food is served in the lodge and is known for
its jumbo Swiss mushroom burger. Other sandwiches, pizza, and many
appetizers are also available.
The cabins each feature a shower,
TV/DVD player, refrigerator, stove with cooking utensils as well as dishes
included. All bed linens are furnished. (The Resort does
not furnish bath towels.) All the cabins are heated with gas
heat and are winterized.
